Clearing Up the Confusion between Angry and Fearful Thoughts vs. Angry and Fearful Temper

It can be easy to confuse the terms “Angry and Fearful Thoughts” with “Angry and Fearful Temper” when reporting those in an example. Judi Bakke will clarify the difference between these concepts and explain during which step of the 4-Step Method the example giver should describe their thoughts and tempers. After the presentation and group discussion, attendees will have a clearer understanding of how to correctly identify, distinguish, and report their thoughts and tempers within the Recovery International example framework.

The session provides practical strategies for confident, kind communication and emphasizes that establishing limits is an act of self-respect. Easily and Comfortably Spot Sabotage

Do you sometimes struggle to spot the sabotage in an example? This special focus session will describe the importance of recognizing and spotting sabotage.
Participants will:
1. Gain an understanding of sabotage and why it is important to recognize.
2. Be able to quickly and easily identify sabotage in their own day to day lives.
3. Identify sabotage in each example given at meetings.

Group Leader Training
June 15, 17, 22 and 24, 2026
from 7-9pm Eastern Time each day
This training is for those who would like to step up to a Group Leader or Assistant Leader role for Zoom or in-person meetings. To qualify for training, you should be attending RI meetings regularly for at least 3-6 months and know the concepts and 4-Step Method. (Session held via Zoom.)
$35 for members, $70 for non-members and includes one year of membership.
Power Your Mind: Tools to Build Resilience
Become a certified trainer to confidently deliver the Power Your Mind: Tools to Build Resilience program to youth or school groups. In these two 2-hour sessions, you will learn how to deliver Power Your Mind workshops to youth groups ranging in age from 13-18 years old.
Participants will receive the Power Your Mind:

- Leader Guide
- PowerPoint slide deck
- Instruction to confidently and consistently facilitate workshops.
